Job evidence and completion requirements
Find a job's photos and files, see uploads waiting on a phone, and require evidence before work is done.
Open a job and choose its Evidence tab, or tap its Evidence row. The office and the field app use the same job gallery, including jobs on a route.

What appears in the gallery
The gallery brings together the job's own captures and the evidence from its forms, inspections and issues. Each item says where it came from and shows the file, who added it, when, the category and any notes. The header counts what has been uploaded, and adds "Required evidence missing" when a requirement isn't met yet. Files stay private: you only see evidence your account can open, and confidential responses stay restricted even when they are linked to the job.
Open a photo and the job's other photos come with it, as thumbnails down the left on a computer or along the bottom on a phone. Click a thumbnail, use the arrows or your arrow keys, or swipe on a phone. The counter beside the name says which photo you're on, such as 3 of 5, and Download (in a browser) or Save (on a phone) keeps a copy of the one on screen. Other files open on their own.
Use Add evidence in the office, or Capture → Photo or file from the job in the field. Choose the files (Choose photos and Choose files take several at once), pick General, Before, During or After, and add a note if it helps ("What does this evidence show?"). The category and note apply to every file you add together, and each file is its own capture: two After photos added at once count as two. The category says which stage of the work the evidence supports.
Where your workspace has Evidence photo stamp switched on, Take a photo in the iPhone and Android apps opens Maliru's own camera, which burns the date, time and place into each photo and can take several in a row. See Stamped photos from Maliru's camera.
Uploaded and saved on this device are different
With poor signal, a capture is saved on the phone and sent later. It shows as "Queued · Saved on this device" rather than uploaded. The office can't see it until it sends, and a queued file doesn't count towards a completion requirement.
A capture that failed shows "Failed · {reason}" and keeps its file on the phone, with Retry. Fix the storage or access problem first. If the file is no longer on the phone, capture it again.
Require evidence before completion
In a client or workstream editor, use Evidence required before completion and Add requirement. Each requirement sets a category, Photos or Any file, and a minimum from 1 to 20.

For example, require one Before photo and two After photos. A job with those requirements can't move to a status in the Done category until the uploads are there. The same check applies to bulk status changes and to route work. The job's Evidence view lists each rule under Required before completion with a count such as "1 / 2", and explains: "Add job captures in the categories below. Form and defect attachments are shown separately."
- Requirements from the client and workstream are copied onto a job when it is created. Changing the job's client or workstream swaps in the requirements for the new one.
- Editing a client's or workstream's requirements doesn't add them to existing jobs.
- Only deliberate job captures in the right category count. Form and issue attachments stay visible but aren't treated as Before or After photos, and uploading the same file twice doesn't count twice.
Who can see a job's evidence
People with Manage jobs or View evidence can see a job's evidence, within their workstream scope. A worker on the job through a published shift can capture against it while the visit is unfinished and for 7 days after it is marked finished, so a late write-up still lands on the job. They keep read access to its evidence after that. That access covers this job only, not the workspace-wide vault.
Read the timestamps correctly
An attachment's time and place record when and where the file was attached. They don't prove that an older gallery photo was taken there. A photo taken with Maliru's stamp camera is different, on a form or as evidence where your workspace stamps evidence photos: its time and place are from the moment it was taken, and are burnt into the picture. See Stamped photos from Maliru's camera. Maliru doesn't track location in the background.
