Your timesheet: submitting and corrections

Check your week, correct a wrong or missing shift, and send it for approval.

Your timesheet gathers what you clocked into weeks you can check, correct and submit. Nothing on it changes without a manager seeing why.

Where to find it

  • On a phone: Me › My time, then the Timesheets tab at the top (beside My time and Leave). The Timesheet awaiting approval and "Last week's timesheet not submitted" rows on Today open it too.
  • In the office: Timesheets › Timesheets shows My timesheet. (If you hold Manage time clock, that tab is the team review grid instead, and your own week is under My time.)

Reading your week

Step through weeks with the arrows, or jump back with This week. The totals line shows what you worked, any overtime, unpaid breaks and the number of issues flagged.

On a phone each day is a card: the job you worked, what was scheduled against what you clocked, and any flags. A working day with nothing recorded is marked in amber — No time recorded — so a forgotten day stands out. A day covered by leave names it — Holiday, or Holiday (morning) for a half day — with · unpaid after it when the leave is unpaid. In the office the same week is a table.

A shift counts, whole, on the day you clocked in. A night from 18:00 to 04:00 is all on the day it started, never split at midnight.

Me › My time › Timesheets on the phone: a week of day cards with one missed day in amber and one day of holiday

Correcting your shifts on the phone

If a time is wrong — the phone died, you clocked out late, a day never got clocked — tap Correct my shifts under your timesheet status. It fixes everything in one go:

  • Tap a start or finish time to change it.
  • Tap the bin (Remove this shift) on a duplicate. The row is marked · removed, with Undo if you change your mind.
  • Add a missing shift asks "Which day was missed?" and adds a row for it.
  • Total after your changes shows the effect before you send anything.
  • Reason is required — "Say what happened, so this can be approved." For example: Phone died on site, clocked out late. Notes is optional.

Tap Send 2 changes for approval (the number follows what you changed). Your manager sees each change labelled Times changed, Missing shift added or Shift removed, with your reason, and approves or declines it.

If changes from earlier are still waiting, the dialog says "2 changes are already waiting for approval. Anything you send now joins them and is decided together." The button then reads Send 1 more change for approval. Withdraw takes back the waiting changes ("Withdraw the changes waiting for approval?") so you can start again.

Correct my shifts only appears on a phone, and not once the period is locked.

Correcting times in the office

On a desktop, corrections are made one at a time from Timesheets › My time: Request change on an entry, or Request on a day with no entry to add a Missing entry. Each needs a reason. My change requests lists them as Missing entry or Time change with a status — Pending, Approved, Declined (with the manager's reason) or Cancelled. Cancel request withdraws one while it is still pending.

Either way, nothing edits your time silently. Every change goes to a manager and is kept in the audit trail. If your workspace has switched off Time corrections, changes can't be sent — ask your manager to fix the entry.

Submitting

When the week looks right, tap Submit. The status then reads:

  • Not submitted — nothing sent yet.
  • Submitted — waiting for your manager. If something changes you can Resubmit.
  • Approved — signed off.
  • Reopened — sent back to you, with the manager's note beside the status. Correct what they asked about and Submit again.
  • Locked — the period is closed for payroll. Nothing more can change unless a manager unlocks it.

Tip: submit each week once it is right. If you recorded time last week and haven't submitted, Maliru sends one "Submit your timesheet" reminder from 7am on the first day of the new week, in your workspace's time zone (never for a locked week), and Today keeps a row for it until you do. Your manager can't approve a week you haven't sent.

Route work

Time clocked against a route stays linked to that route as one duty, so a route of twelve jobs is still one stretch of hours on your timesheet. When you correct a shift, check the work it is linked to as well as the times.
