Customising and sharing dashboards

Choose your cards and layout, keep named dashboards, and share a team view on Crew or above.

Everything here starts from Dashboard. My dashboard is your own view, and changing it never rearranges anyone else's.

Customise mode, with card controls, the Add cards list, and Reset to workspace default, Cancel and Done above

Choose and arrange cards

  1. Click Customise.
  2. Under Add cards, tick the cards you want. "What is listed follows the modules your workspace has on and the permissions you hold."
  3. Use Move up, Move down and Remove on each card. Removing a card changes the layout only. No records are removed.
  4. Use Make wider or Make narrower where offered. Breakdown cards can switch between Show as chart and Show as bars.
  5. Click Done to save, or Cancel to throw the changes away. Nothing is saved until Done.

The reporting period (Today, This week or This month) and the Workstream, Client and Site filter buttons are saved with an editable dashboard. A card narrowed by a filter shows Filtered, so you can tell which figures were narrowed.

Reset to workspace default puts My dashboard back to the starting layout. Someone with Manage settings also sees Set as workspace default, which makes the current layout the starting point for the workspace. It doesn't overwrite anyone's existing personal layout.

Keep several dashboards

On Crew or above, open the dashboard selector and choose New dashboard…. Give it a name, such as Monday review or Fleet review. It starts from the layout you're viewing, and you customise it from there.

The selector switches between My dashboard, your named dashboards and the Team dashboards shared with your role. On a named dashboard it also offers Rename… and Delete dashboard. Deleting a dashboard removes the saved view, not the jobs or records behind it. Anyone reading it goes back to their own dashboard.

Share a team dashboard

Someone with Manage settings can pick a named dashboard, choose Share with roles… and tick the access profiles that should see it. It then appears under Team dashboards for everyone in those roles.

If you can't edit a shared dashboard, it reads: "This shared dashboard is read-only for you. The period and filters you pick apply only while you look." Sharing a layout never grants access to the records behind its cards. Each person still sees only what their own permissions allow.

Named and shared dashboards need Crew or above. If the workspace moves to a lower plan, existing ones stay readable.

Get a weekly copy of the numbers

Under Notification settings › Reports, switch on Weekly dashboard digest in the Email column. It's off until you turn it on. The email carries the numbers from the dashboard you have selected, for the week that ended. It's sent at 07:00 on the first day of your workspace's working week, in the workspace's timezone. You need an email address on your account, and pausing the whole Email channel pauses the digest too. See Notification preferences.
