Reading your dashboard

The cards, the reporting period and the filters, and how to tell operational totals from your own next steps.

The Dashboard gives the office one view of the operation: work that needs attention, the current figures and the trends. Which cards you can have depends on your permissions, your workstream access and the modules your workspace has switched on.

The toolbar

From left to right:

  • The dashboard selector: My dashboard, any named dashboards you keep, and team dashboards shared with your role. See Customising and sharing dashboards.
  • Today, This week or This month: the reporting period. A card that counts over a period shows that range and compares it with the previous one. A card that counts what stands right now, such as Open jobs or Bills owed, ignores the period. A card whose title names its own window, such as Jobs opened vs completed, 14 days, uses that window.
  • Workstream, Client and Site: filter buttons that narrow the cards based on jobs. A narrowed card shows Filtered. Fleet-wide and people-wide cards still count the whole workspace, so check for the marker before comparing two figures. A supervisor can only narrow within the workstreams they already have access to.
  • Clear filters: appears while a filter applies.
  • Customise: choose and arrange your cards.

Needs your attention

The attention cards point to work that is waiting: overdue shifts or defects, unconfirmed shifts, missing clock-outs, expiring credentials or vehicle compliance, due inspections, review queues, overdue invoices and bills, and open alerts. In everyday viewing, an attention card with nothing outstanding is hidden. While you customise, every card shows so you can decide which to keep.

Click an attention card to open the section it counts, narrowed to those records. For example:

  • Vehicle compliance expired opens the vehicle register with a Showing Vehicle compliance expired · 1 banner. Show all clears it. Opening the section from the navigation rail clears it too.
  • Unconfirmed shifts and Overdue shifts open the Schedule on the matching window.
  • Flagged cost entries and Cost entries awaiting review open Fleet › Review.
  • Open asset requests opens Asset requests.
  • Invoices overdue opens Commercial on its invoices. Bills overdue, Bills due soon and Bills awaiting approval open Commercial › Bills on that list.

Counts can change between viewing a card and opening its records, as the team keeps working.

Pulse and Operations

Pulse holds the headline numbers: open jobs, shifts today, hours clocked, people on the clock, fleet costs, and the money figures below. Operations holds trends, breakdowns and ranked lists, such as Longest overdue jobs, Most used forms, Vehicles with most open defects and Most timesheet exceptions. Completion figures use each workstream's Done status category, so a status doesn't have to be called Completed to count.

The money cards follow the permissions behind them:

  • With Manage commercial: Owed to you, Work not yet invoiced, Cash in, Invoices overdue, Variations pending, Certified, Awaiting certification and Variations approved. The first three are the Commercial overview's own figures and open it. See The Commercial overview.
  • With Manage bills & expenses: Bills owed, Cash position, Bills overdue, Bills due soon, Bills awaiting approval, Ordered, not billed, Orders over and Spend by category. The two order cards read zero until your workspace switches Purchase orders on.

Your own day

Someone with no management permissions gets a personal My day view in place of the office dashboard. It's the office twin of the phone's Today tab, and it separates Needs your attention from Waiting on others. A missing clock-out, a shift to confirm or a form that's due is yours to act on. A submitted timesheet waiting for a manager's approval sits under waiting instead.

The phone guide, Your day on the Today tab, explains each action.
