What Marie can do for you, and what she never does
On Crew, Marie prepares routine changes and you confirm them. Some things she never does, however she's asked.
Crew and Enterprise plans. Ask Marie to do something and she prepares it for you to check. Nothing changes until you confirm.
She prepares, you confirm
Marie shows a card with exactly what will change, in plain words, and anything you should know first: a visit left with nobody on it, a clash with someone's other work, or a credential the client needs that someone doesn't hold. Then:
- Confirm makes the change. The card then shows what was done, with a link to the record.
- Change tells Marie what to do differently.
- Dismiss drops it.
A card more than ten minutes old, or one whose records have changed since, can't be confirmed. It says so and offers to check again.
What she can prepare
| Change | You need |
|---|---|
| Record leave or sickness for someone, showing what it does to the schedule | Manage leave |
| Move someone's place on a shift or visit to someone else, with eligibility and clash checks | Manage schedule |
| Post an update on a job, or set a status you could set | Manage jobs |
| Raise a defect or issue against a vehicle, asset, site or job | The access you'd need to raise it yourself |
Your workstream scope applies as it does everywhere else. Owners can do all of them.
Several changes at once
"Dave's off sick today, sort it" becomes one card with several steps: the sick day, then each of his visits moved or left open, each with its own warnings. Untick any step you don't want. Confirm makes all the ticked changes together, or none of them if one can't be made. A card holds up to ten steps.
On the record
Every change Marie makes is recorded in the audit trail as yours, made via Marie, exactly as if you'd clicked the button yourself. People are told about it as they would be if you'd made the change by hand.
AI actions
A confirmed change uses one AI action from your workspace's monthly allowance. Several changes confirmed together use one for each change made, at most 5. A card you dismiss uses none, and questions, help and reminders don't use any. If the allowance runs out, Marie still answers and reminds, but her changes wait until it resets on the 1st or a top-up lands. See AI allowance, usage and top-ups.
What she never does
However she's asked, and even with a confirm, Marie never:
- closes, reopens or reverses a pay run, exports or pushes payroll, or pays anyone;
- issues, sends, voids or credits an invoice, or sends anything to a client;
- publishes a schedule;
- deletes anything;
- changes access, permissions, roles, scopes or authority appointments;
- changes billing, the plan or workspace settings;
- clears a safety gate, such as returning a vehicle to service, overriding eligibility, or lone worker settings and alarms;
- signs, agrees or confirms anything on anyone's behalf, such as a signature, a deduction agreement, a must-read or an induction;
- approves timesheets, measures or submissions: that review stays a person's.
For these, she tells you so, gets the work ready where she can, and opens the screen so you can finish it yourself.
Asking for something new
When you ask for something she can't do, Marie says so. She notes the kind of request, without names, figures or record details, and Maliru counts these to decide what she learns next.
