My report didn't send
What "Saved on this device" means, how queued captures send themselves, how one gets stuck, and how to put a refused form right.
"Saved on this device. It will send when you are back online." means the capture is stored on your phone and waiting to send. The office can't see it yet.
Check the sending queue
- Go back to the account and workspace where you captured the work.
- Open Maliru with working signal and keep it open while it sends. A signal icon on its own doesn't prove the connection works.
- Tap Review on the saved-capture banner. The Saved on this device list shows each waiting item by kind, such as Form, Evidence, Fuel fill, Expense, Bill, Clock in, Shift answer, Route status, Job update, Issue report, Leave request, Chat message or Binder confirmation, with its title and record where there is one. "Captures wait here until they reach Maliru. They send on their own when the phone has a connection."
- Read each item's state: Waiting to send · saved {when}, Needs attention · {reason}, or Another workspace or sign-in · sends from there.
- Tap Send now, or open an item's Options and choose Send now, then read the result. It tells you what was sent and what is still waiting, for example "Sent 2. No connection for the other one — they send automatically when you are back online."
- Ask the office to check the right form, record, person and date in Forms › Submissions, or on the job's Forms or Evidence tab.
Each capture carries its own reference. If the phone never heard back after a send that actually worked, sending again doesn't file a second copy.
A capture needs attention
A capture the server refuses stays on the phone with its reason. It isn't quietly deleted, and one refusal doesn't hold up the captures behind it.
A refused form can be put right on the phone. Tap it, or open its Options and choose Open and fix. It opens again as a draft, with your answers and the photos held on the phone, so you can fix what the reason says and submit it again. It keeps its reference, so it can never be filed twice. Send now on a form you haven't changed only meets the same refusal. If the form has been taken out of use, you'll see "This form is no longer available." and it stays in the list.
Submit checks every required answer before anything is sent or kept on the phone, for example "Answer "Signature" before you send this.", so a form missing an answer isn't queued in the first place.
For anything else, ask the office to sort out the problem. It might be a form that's no longer available, a record that can't take the submission, a form that changed while you were filling it in, or a storage or access limit. Two reasons you may see:
- "The saved file is missing from this device. Capture it again."
- "Storage could not accept this file. Check workspace storage and access, then retry." See Storage: what counts and when it is full.
Forms and fuel fills are tried again on later sending passes. A standalone evidence upload that failed waits until you tap Send now, or Retry on the job's Evidence tab, once the cause is fixed. A refused action, such as a clock-in or a shift answer, waits for you too: it isn't sent again by itself, because it happened at a time that has passed. Choose Send now or Discard from its Options.
An attachment missing from the phone stops the capture sending. It's never quietly dropped from an otherwise successful report. Keep the item and contact support with the form, the record, the device and roughly when you captured it. A file that really has been lost may need capturing again.
Evidence that's queued or failed doesn't meet a job's completion requirements. It counts once it has uploaded.
Draft or submitted?
A draft hasn't been submitted. You'll find it under Forms › Drafts in the office, or Me › My forms on the same phone. Drafts are normally kept on the device for 14 days. A queued capture has been submitted on the phone but hasn't finished sending.

See Saving and resuming form drafts before you fill a form in again.
Keep the only copy safe
Discard on a queued item asks first: "Discard this capture? It has not reached Maliru. Discarding deletes the answers and any photos saved with it from this device." Use it only when you're sure you no longer need them. Don't uninstall Maliru or clear its storage, on the phone or in the browser, while work is waiting.
The app tries again whenever it notices a connection while it's open, and when you come back to it. On Android it also sends with the app closed once a connection returns. On iPhone a closed app sends only when iOS allows it, so open Maliru with signal and keep it open until the list is empty.
If you're completing a pack from an email link without signing in, see Completing a shared pack. That guest page needs a connection and doesn't use this queue.
"Update Maliru" or "still on the phone"
If the app shows Update Maliru, or a report says a field "has 1 file still on the phone. Update the Maliru app, then send it again.", update the app in place and send again from the same phone. Queued work waits through an update and isn't deleted. See Updating Maliru and finding your app version.
