Maliru for catering equipment service
The engineer's report, back before they leave the kitchen.
A commercial kitchen calls when something stops. Maliru keeps the appliance, its service history and the breakdown queue on one record, so the second visit does not start from nothing and the report does not wait until Friday.

What usually goes wrong
- Breakdown calls taken on the phone and written up days later
- Appliance history held nowhere, so every visit starts cold
- Commercial gas qualifications and their categories tracked on paper
How Maliru fits
- Workstreams — Planned maintenance, breakdowns and installation as separate job types with their own fields and priorities.
- Assets — Each appliance as a record, carrying its services, its faults and the parts fitted.
- Forms — Your engineer's report as a form, with parts used and the customer's signature captured before they leave.
- Permits & credentials — Commercial gas qualifications and their categories per engineer, with expiry warnings.
- Service contracts — The client's ovens and fridges on record by site, planned servicing, and breakdown call-outs answered and fixed against the contract.

Questions catering equipment service teams ask
Can we see an appliance's history?
Yes. Each appliance is an asset record and its visits, faults and parts gather against it, so a return visit opens with what the last engineer found.
Can the customer sign on site?
Yes. A signature field on your report form is captured on the device and stored with the submission.
Do you track parts and stock?
Parts used are captured on the report against the job. On Crew, stock is kept in Assets, at a single location, with on-hand counts, reorder levels, and request, issue and return. Parts recorded on a report do not come off stock automatically.
